A 7-WEEK SMALL GROUP EXPERIENCE FOR MEN AND WOMEN

Story Groups

A Story Group is an immersive, 7-week small group experience where you’ll engage in your story and learn tools for engaging in others’ stories.

Led by a trained, compassionate facilitator, participants will meet once a week (virtual or in person) to engage in a curriculum designed to give you a greater understanding of your story, how it’s affecting your thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors, and how to live out a new story of hope and healing.

Through guided discussions and compassionate listening, you’ll also be equipped to engage meaningfully with others’ stories, becoming an integral part of their healing journey as well.

Joining a Story Group is an ideal “first step” for individuals curious about Story Work.

Key Elements of a Story Group

  • During our time together, you’ll be asked to write a story of harm from your family of origin. Since this process can feel intimidating, we’ll provide you with helpful resources to guide your writing.

Over the course of the seven weeks, you will share your story twice, with our facilitator setting the tone by sharing their own story first. This shared experience creates a space where we can all learn to heal from one another.

  • To enhance our time together, you'll complete homework before each session, which may include a podcast, video course, or article to read. We’ll ask you to journal your reflections, and we’ll discuss them as a group during our meetings.

  • You'll learn various grounding techniques to help you self-regulate. We believe these somatic practices are vital for long-term healing and care.

  • Each of our Story Groups concludes with a unique blessing activity that affirms the goodness of both our personhood and our story. This blessing helps us "end well," providing a sense of closure as we transition back into the rhythms of daily life.

Cost: $350/participant

“Andrew’s Story Group was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. As a leader, he is empathetic, intentional, and vulnerable. PERSONALIZED SESSIONS FOR MEN AND WOMEN NEEDING DEEPER CARE

1-on-1 Story Work

1-on-1 Story Work is for individuals who have experienced significant trauma or feel particularly burdened by unresolved pain in their story.

Through a series of six or twelve 1-on-1 sessions with a trained, compassionate facilitator, we’ll dive deeper into the themes and pivotal experiences in your life so you can begin to move towards healing, freedom, and hope.

After each session, you’ll receive a follow-up message summarizing the meeting, giving you time to reflect and process.

“Through working with Andrew, I’ve gained valuable perspective and tools that will positively impact my current and future chapters. He saw into the hidden places of my story that most overlook and made connections that brought freedom and rest to areas where I had long felt confusion and pain. I’d encourage anyone looking to explore their story to consider working with him.”

A HALF-DAY WORKSHOP FOR BUSINESSES, NONPROFITS, AND CHURCHES

Story Workshop

Every organization is made up of diverse individuals with unique backgrounds, stories, and experiences. But all too often, teams are woefully unaware of how their individual stories can sometimes lead to friction, frustration, and poor performance.

Designed for businesses, nonprofits, and churches, this half-day workshop will empower your team to engage their stories and experience greater unity and empathy.

Led by trained, compassionate facilitators, participants will gain a greater understanding of their story, how it’s affecting their thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors, and learn tools for working with one another in healthy, productive ways.

Workshop Highlights

Our workshops are interactive environments that incorporate teaching, group engagement, and personal reflection. Each workshop is customized to fit the unique "story" of the organization, but we often explore the following core elements:

  • Understanding each employee’s Enneagram type and its impact on workplace dynamics

  • Exploring attachment styles and the basic human needs that shape our interactions

  • Discussing our family of origin to better understand the story of where each of us comes from

  • Reflecting on both the harm and blessings from our childhood and how they influence our relational style today

  • Recognizing our need for community and how it can shape our work environment

  • Exploring individual and collective calling, identifying areas of agreement and where greater alignment is needed

  • We close each workshop with a meaningful blessing and naming activity, bringing a sense of closure and affirmation.

After the workshop, we also offer opportunities for individuals to schedule 50-minute discovery meetings to explore their own story in greater depth.

Trauma-informed leadership is a vital but often missing ingredient within organizations. By gaining a deeper understanding of our own stories and how we engage with the world, leaders and coworkers can find greater meaning in their work and provide better care for themselves.
